A motorcycle rider died in a road accident on Jashore-Jhenaidah highway on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Imran Hossain, 30, a representative of Opsonin Pharmaceutical.
Imran on his way to return home after work when he lost control over the motorcycle and collided with a truck in Barobazar area of Jashore Sadar upazila around 9:00pm.
Locals rushed him to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex, where he succumbed to his injuries around 9:30pm.
Confirming the matter, Mohsin Hossain, officer-in-charge of Barobazar Highway Police Station, said police seized the truck but its driver managed to flee the scene.
